Aid Workers Network Profile
Aid Workers Exchange
Executive Director Center for Sustainable Development After 30 years in business in Seattle, I began working with NGOs and universities in Guatemala six years ago. This has included project development, fundraising, grant/project management, and donor reporting. My business experience has been useful in helping NGOs and educational institutions organize these themes within their own organizations. I have been able to help these groups work with their missions and strengths to develop projects that will attract funding agencies. I have also learned the complexities and challenges to be found in humanitarian development while working on-the-ground in real-life situations. The most important thing that I have learned is that to have impact, NGOs need excellent planning, sound staff training, and a set of tools that work well for designing solutions for development challenges. SpecialtiesTo work with international donors and nonprofits, which promote world-changing agendas, in making a concrete impact on their causes, by implementing carefully defined actions chosen for their capacity to leverage change. To accomplish this objective by providing consulting services, training, and tools designed to deliver strategic outcomes for accelerating a global transition to sustainable development.
