Submitted by vernon mann on April 28, 2009 - 11:32am.

As per previous postings these open media spokesperson training days are designed for individuals and small groups - max six - who want to find out how the news media world works, and how best to handle journalists in field interview situations. You'll get an insider view from an award winning former TV foreign correspondent and then be put through the experience of being interviewed in our radio studio and in front of the camera with a DVD of your performance at the end of the day.
Typical attendee response:
From Welsh Refugee Agency: "Thanks for a fab day. I really feel able now to face the media with confidence."
These days are becoming popular so please book early if you can by email: vernonmann@mediamann.com
Thanks

Anyone working in the field should be aware of how journalists operate, how to handle them and how to ensure they report your story the way YOU want it to be reported.

We hold open media spokesperson training sessions each month in our studios in Covent Garden, London.
The next course is on October 6th.

You will join a maximum of six people for a day during which you will learn how the news media world works, how to work out key messages, and how to deliver them in practice press, radio and television interviews.

Tutors are international journalists who have covered your sort of story - famine, flood, conflict - so they know what they're talking about.

You'll come away with an understanding of the media and the confidence to handle a media scrum, plus a DVD of your interviews and a non-academic certificate proving you've attended a media training course.

The fee is GBP 300.00 per person.
