Discrimination

Discrimination is a sad reality in aid, relief and development work. You may find that you are being treated differently or inappropriately because of your race, gender, religion (or lack there of), ethnicity, region-of-origin, and various other factors.

This page is meant to offer advice for aid, relief and development workers facing or witnessing discrimination on-the-job, and how to address such. Like other AWN Advice pages, it will not be a comprehensive resource but, rather, a place that links to credible, practical organizations and resources related to the subject.

If you would like to volunteer to contribute to this page's information, please see the AWN volunteer guidelines and follow the directions to express interest.
