Getting started in Aid workSubmitted by JennieK on April 28, 2008 - 10:13pm.
Hello, I am wondering how to get into this in a more permanent way. I dont' have any qualifications for aid work or with children or anything like that, are there posts in the field that you don't need qualifications or can anyone advise me on some training that may be useful. Basically I would like any advice I could get on getting started in this field, good orgaisations to look at etc. It's a big change to make from a stabel 9-5 job so I want to gt my facts straight before making any desicions, I think this is especially important for a woman travelling alone. Thanks very much Yours is a frequently asked -- and answered -- question. Please review the previous posts in the "Finding a Job" thread and, as Michael said, please read the advice pages. If, after reading all of this advice (which is alot), you still have questions, you would be welcomed to post. <><><><> Have a look at the post: So You Want to Be an Aid Worker, Hey? ___________________________ SEO Tips : Starwebworld, is an Search Engine Optimization (SEO) blog. Hello Jennie,
Have you had a look at the AWN advice pages yet? They might be a good starting point that will probably already answer many of your questions, and you could come back here with further questions after you read them.
Good luck,
Michael
