Psychological/Counselling work in Africa

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good organisations that deal with trauma that I could volunteer with in East, South and West Africa? I am keen to work alongside mental health professionals or support workers involved with young people who have suffered trauma from conflict, abuse, bereavement and so on.

I'm a psychology graduate who will have 2 assistant psychologist posts under my belt by the end of December. One with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for Looked After Children (project develelopment, clinical work) and the other evaluating a service for high-risk clients within the community in the Adult Mental Health Services. I also have British Sign Language and Makaton qualifications. I've previously worked in various childcare posts as well.

I'm looking to volunteer for 6 months starting around January time in 2008 and would be grateful for any contacts people may have. I'm finding it very difficult to find organisations which provide genuine mental health aidwork in this area. Thank you!
