Mama Cash Grants
For women's organisations...
Deadline: Rolling deadline

Mama Cash supports "groundbreaking" and "innovative" projects from women's groups and women's organisations all over the world. Criteria for applications includes:

* "...projects that are aimed at groups of women who are relegated to a marginal position within a certain context, for example: girls, women of colour, migrant and refugee women, HIV/AIDS infected women, indigenous women, sex workers, lesbians and women with a disability;
* projects that are avant-garde where form and content are concerned; and
* projects that contain a risky and "ground-breaking" element."

Applications for The Netherlands and Europe as well as the Global South (Asia and the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean) and the former Soviet Union, can be submitted throughout the entire year. Applications must be completed in Dutch, English, French or Spanish. Mama Cash will only assess applications that meet her criteria and are properly completed. There are two types of application forms: subsidies and travel grants.

Four times a year Mama Cash assesses the submitted applications. After each meeting, applicants will be informed about the council's decision. The entire application procedure may take three to six months.

The average grant ranges from 500 euros to 20,000 euros per year.

What about a project aiming at creating some kind of a platform for HIV/aids infected women to pursue one of the certified online degrees? Would such a project receive a grant like this? Thank you!
