Internships

February 14, 2007 - 5:42pm

As so many have said before, experience is a big necessity for aid work. In addition for me, I am required to engage in an internship program as part of my MA coursework. All that being said, I am in the process of looking for a summer internship position with an aid organization. I am wondering if anyone might have some advice on organizations to contact, or know of any specific programs. I am currently based out of Washington DC, but am willing to travel if need be.

the language decision

February 14, 2007 - 5:31pm

I am in the middle of my MA program, which requires a language component. I have roughly an intermediate level of oral spanish, yet I know to work with most large aid organizations, or in Africa in general, French is more important.
